What a few weeks the Jewish people have had. In Israel and locally as well. With the rise of random acts of antisemitic attacks some have suggested that we should accept the new antisemitic rise as a reality and perhaps - G-d forbid, to remove our mezuzahs from our doors and kippas from our heads. We should never accept a situation as a reality. Stand up proud and strong! A great theme of this week's portion is Pesach Sheni - the lesson is obvious that it is never too late. The Jewish people who were not able to bring the Pesach sacrifice on the first celebration, came to Moshe saying - why should we lose out? Moshe inquiries from Hashem who then grants them a second chance of Pesach Sheni one month later. They only got to bring the korban Pesach because they stood up and stood strong. The lesson is a powerful one. Never should we accept a reality as something that can't be challenged. Hashem actually welcomed the Jewish people's challenge and made a special law for making up for the missed Korban Pesach opportunity. Let's take this lesson to heart! Every time an antisemite will try to get us down - we need to wear our Judaism bigger and brighter. On the contrary we can not let them win. Do more mitzvos to increase the world with light. You can't beat darkness with a stick, but a little candle chases the greatest darkness away. I am a Jew and I am proud and no one will make me get down. Not in body and not in spirit! Good Shabbos!
