TicTacShabbat, Mt. Chabad Shavuot Report

Friday, 2 June, 2017 - 12:53 pm

Board Game Themed YJP Houston First Fridays Shabbat dinner tonight is at 8:30, Mincha & Kabbalat Shabbat at 7:30. Great crowd expected - will YOU be joining us? RSVP at www.yjphouston.org

Shavuot report: 70+ souls, ranging from infants in their mothers' arms to retirees, gathered at "Mt. Chabad" on Wednesday to hear the outdoor Ten Commandments reading and enjoy a dairy feast.

The CTeen fidget spinners were a great hit! Thank you to Ehud Marciano for sponsoring the spinners.

Tip of the rabbi's hat to Chanie  and her crew  of volunteers for producing yet another fabulous spread and Rivky for the cheesecake balls, hand dipped in chocolate. Dark chocolate covered with white drizzle and white cholocate covered with back drizzle. "A shame we can't take pictures" was heard; it was that serene and beautiful.

"When a soldier enlists, he writes a blank check to his nation" - Shavuot is the celebration of our commitment to the Hashem and His Torah, before getting into the details of how to behave on Tuesdays. May we remain as committed as possible all year long.

Kiddush this Shabbos is sponsored by David & Adrianne Berger and Family in commemoration of the yartzeit and in memory her father, Chaim ben Schmuel Herb Saffir, obm.

Condolences to the Kronman family on the passing of their father and grandfather,  Levi Israel ben Eliezer Spector, obm.
