With hard work of a great committee, this past Sunday we had a wonderful event with FCYA a partnership where volunteers of YJPHouston joined young adults of Friendship Circle of Houston to paint ceramics along Young Adults with special needs for a morning of fun, camaraderie and integration. - Chazak! We complete the book of Shemos this week with great fanfare, announcing Chazak, may you be strengthened!
- Hachodesh! This last Shabbat before Nissan, a special reading is held in a second Torah called "Hachodesh" (Exodus 12:1-20). Hachodesh recounts G-d's historic communication to Moses in Egypt on the 1st of Nissan (2 weeks before the Exodus) regarding the Jewish calendar, the month of Nissan and the Passover offering. - Mevarchim!
