We kicked it off right with an amazing Sunday!
After a wonderful 8:30 am Shacharis and breakfast, we hosted a beautiful 9:30 am Challah Bake, partnering volunteers from Jewish Federation's YAD Houston Mitzvah Day with the newly launched FCYA (Friendship Circle of Houston Young Adults) & Pathfinder to bake Challah for the Chabad of Uptown's Loaves of Love program for seniors. The event was sponsored by YJP Houston - Young Jewish Professionals Houston. Check out the photos! Jewish Herald Voice is running a beautiful story on their front page...
After it was done. we hit the 12:30 pm YAD wrap up party in Midtown where all Mitzvah day groups gathered to do the social thing.
This followed, with a 1:30 pm Pidyon Haven Mazel tov to Matt & Ellee Lazarov(!) Breit of the pidyon haben of their son!
Torah Day School hosted a great 2-4 pm PreChanukah community event!
And, this was all while setting up the sofer that was here to check tefillin and mezuzos and we got him all set up that day too!
All in a day. One fantastic Sunday.
