rosh hashana table.jpgWhat an amazing Rosh Hashana with all of you, and hundreds of other friends - our extended family - in our new Shul! Our Cantor Rabbi Danny Gavin & his family were fantastic. We are grateful for all the help of the amazing Naomi Bier, Nilli Shore & Sigal Melnik, helping put on the wonderful holiday meals and running the CKids program. Thank you to all those who sponsored the services and kiddushim and those who gave voluntary membership. May Hashem bless us to have many celebrations in our new home. Chanie and I thank y'all for allowing us the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful community.

This Shabbos, between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur is called Shabbat Shuvah, "Shabbat of Return." The name derives from the Haftarah for this Shabbat, which opens with the words (Hosea 14:2), "Return O Israel unto the L-rd your G-d..." Occurring in the "Ten Days of Repentance", it is a most auspicious time to rectify the failings and missed opportunities of the past and positively influence the coming year.

May we collectively be blessed with a positive year, filled with blessings, health and happiness.
