One month to Rosh Hashana and the rest of the holidays that follow!
Start panicking, more details to follow. :)
Now is a great time to focus on your scheduling for these days. If you need to inform your employers, colleagues, employees, schools, etc. about taking these days off, now would be a perfect time. The same is true for medical appointments, business meetings, and visits to the Veterinarian, that should all be avoided, or rescheduled for other days.
Specifically, these are the dates:
- Rosh HaShanah: Monday-Tuesday,
October 3-4 (Begins Sunday evening, October 2) - Yom Kippur: Wednesday, October 12 (Begins Tuesday evening October 11)
- Sukkot: Monday-Tuesday, October 17-18 (Begins Sunday evening, October 16)
- Simchat Torah: Monday-Tuesday, October 24-25 (Begins Sunday evening, October 23)
I hope that by keeping this information handy, you can schedule yourself properly.
If you need any help with schools, employers, etc., please email or call us or call 713-419-3960. We have lots of experience and it can easily be worked out!
PARSHA: Why the Soul Loves the Body
Body and soul are opposites. The soul wants nothing more than to escape heavenward, to leave its existence in this world and reunite with its Infinite Source. The body, on the other hand, seeks to experience an earthly life full of earthly pleasures.
We will also be getting our dancing shoes ready for Simchas Torah.... In case you missed it, Rick Perry is going to be "Dancing with the Stars". Media outlets have figured out where he got his training from. :)
- Mazel tov Brian & Tovi Leibovitz on the birth of a baby girl!
- Refuah Shleima to the father of Arturo, Shmuel ben Zissel. May he have a complete and speedy recovery.
