There something about monotony that is exciting. For the first time in months, we have had a "regular" week. The consistency of a "plain" day after day, without the drumroll of excitement makes music a meaningful tempo to groove to, before the next crescendo comes around. Chassidim call this phenomenon a "posheten mitvoch", a simple Wednesday. The way we beat to our life tone on a simple Wednesday is a good indicator of our spiritual barometer.
