Good Yom Tov & Good Chodesh!

Tonight marks Rosh Chodesh Kislev. On this date in 1978, for the first time since suffering a major heart attack five weeks earlier, on the eve of Shemini Atzeret, the Rebbe left his office in 770 Eastern Parkway and returned to his home, signaling his recovery. Chassidim all over rejoiced at the good news. From that day on, the Rebbe redoubled his efforts on behalf of the Jewish nation and all of humanity, and for the dissemination of Torah and chassidism. From then on, the first of Kislev is celebrated as a day of thanksgiving and rejoicing.

We will have our monthly Rosh Chodesh minyan this Friday morning at 6:45-8 am followed by breakfast sponsored by the Melnik family.

The International Conference of Chabad Rabbis last weekend was absolutely from one of the best yet! Inspirational, uplifting, meaningful and moving.

Of course there is the ‪#‎whereswaldo‬ pic The official Chabad Kinus big picture. Each dot represents an entire community, covering the earth, transforming the world for good, for good.

Even more so was watching the gathering for the picture of the young shluchim, as the kids gather for their own "class picture".

Most poignant moments of the closing banquet was hearing Tehillim read from now 9 year old Moshe Holtzberg (01:01:30), who survived the brutal attack and murder of his parents at the Mumbai Chabad House 7 years ago. Rabbi Shlomie Chein (01:30:20) also gave an speech on Shluchim's fortitude revealing a personal story that shocked the crowd and brought them to their feet for a standing ovation. You can watch the rerun atwww.chabaduptown.org/kinus.
