What a beautiful Shavuos where we studied, prayer, heard the Ten Commandments, ate a plethora of choice dairy foods, remembered our previous generations at Yizkor. Thank you to our community for joining in our simchah at the kiddush in honor of Menucha Vitka. We are thankful to have all of you as our friends and in our lives.
My brother, Yossi, shared this image with me... I found it to be a perfect illustration of so many modern conflicts in social change and justice. Many people troubles with equality would be alleviated if only we can realize that each person has a unique contribution to this world and each stage of the lives with the unique qualities and circumstanced that Hashem has endowed them. More directly, although we are all "equal" we should not confuse that with trying to be the "same".
