As a father, I refuse to babysit
By Rabbi Chaim
As a father, I strongly feel that it is not my job to babysit. I know, fathers should be involved with their kids, but, babysit? Absolutely not.
Just because my wife, Chanie Lazaroff, has a conferenceof Chabad Lubavitch Shluchos (Women Emissaries) to attend yearly in NY does not mean I have to be stuck babysitting the kiddos. I explain why on my blog < CLICK >
Our daughter, Chaya Mushka, did a wonderful job at her Bas Mitzvah celebration. Thank you to all the well wishers at this special milestone for our family.
The theme of the Bas Mitzvah was about her namesake Rebbetzin Chaya Mushkah Schneerson (b. 1901), wife of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, whose yartzeit was commemorated today, marking her passing on the 22nd of Shevat of the year 5748 (1988). Chabad's annual international conference ofsheluchot (woman "emissaries") is held on or near this date. Links: An on-line biography; more on the Rebbetzin
