It's a summer day and the sun is shining but the teshuvah winds of Elul are in the air!
Welcome to Eretz Yisroel! What an appropriate week for Dr. Alan & Chagit Croock to arrive in Israel! This week's Parshas Re'eh concludes with the three pilgrimage festivals of Pesach, Shavuos and Sukkos when we must see and be seen in Jerusalem. We look forward to joining them at the true pilgrimage, with the Shofar blasts heralding the coming of Moshiach, next THIS year in Jerusalem!
Join us this Shabbos for the monthly "First Fridays" Shabbos dinner for young professionals, sponsored this week by Jessica Karsh! See who else is coming here >
Our monthly Rosh Chodesh minyan will be this coming week as well, complete with Hallel and inaugural blowing of the Elul Shofar! (Can you believe it is a month already?) Join us on Wednesday, August 7 at 6:45 am, followed by a wonderful breakfast and fresh brewed coffee!
Can you feel the Elul winds blowing already? Wednesday evening dinner, class & social for young professionals will be on the subject of Elul (Facebook). Get in the Elul mood by joining our Thursday Tanya classes at noon or 8 pm!
The complete High Holiday Schedule has been posted - it is not too early to contribute your membership and make your reservation for services, luncheons & dinners on Rosh Hashana & Yom Kippur at the Hilton Post Oak! www.chabaduptown.org/services
