A floral Chanukah

Friday, 29 October, 2010 - 2:17 am

Dear Friends,

What an amazing time was had at the Chili Cookoff this past Sunday!! Thank to our whole team for making it happen! A special thanks to Michael Pasternak, Sheri Villaverde, Ady Fisberg, Tanya Kazansky, Mark Stern, Benjamin Bronstein, Orit Farkas and Aaron Friedman! The Chabad of Uptown booth was a big hit with music, 240 free ice cold Chabad Uptown water and (number undisclosed) beer. The best part was the over 50 people wrapping teffilin, three for the first time in their lives! Click here for the photos. We still have not covered our costs. Sponsorships for our team are still being accepted. www.chabaduptown.org/donate

That evening featured the kickoff of Israel 3D for JLI  Teens. It is not too late to join! Visit www.chabaduptown.org/teens for more information!

This past Wednesday young professional  class was led by Matt Trusch. A fantastic evening was had at "Club 1019" Ethan & Aaron's place! (If you want to host a future class, please let us know...)

Chanukah is always a time for celebration. This year we will create a six foot FLOWER MENORAH created by our very own Ben Shamoolian of Houston Flowery. Look out for the promos...!
