Here is the schedule:

Friday, April 3:

  • Shabbat Candle Lighting: 7:23 pm
  • Services: 7:30 pm followed by dinner

Shabbos, April 4:

  • Preprayer Kabbala & Chassidus Class: 9:00 am

  • Mincha: 7:30 pm
  • Shabbos Hagadol Recitation of the Haggada
The Shabbat before Passover is termed Shabbat HaGadol ("The Great Shabbat") in commemoration of the "great miracle" that happened in Egypt on this day, heralding the Exodus from Egypt five days later (see "Today in Jewish History"). Shabbat HaGadol customs include reading a portion of the Haggadah (from "Avadim hayinu..." to "...al kol avonotainu"), which tells the story of the Exodus; it is also customary that the rabbi of the community delivers a lecture in which he elaborates on the laws of Passover and their significance, in preparation for the festival.
  • Maariv, Havdalla & Shabbos ends:  8:18 pm
  • Kiddush Levana - Blessing of the Moon (weather permitting)

As our new Uptown home was not ready for Pesach, we will be celebrating Pesach at home near Chabad on Fondren. You are welcome to join us at Chabad on Fondren for the services over Pesach. Please join us at our home for our Pesach seder. We would love to have you, just drop us a line or call! Our next Uptown Shabbos will continue to follow the bi-weekly schedule, on April 17 & 18 following Pesach.

Below is the complete service schedule (print and post :)) for Chabad Lubavitch Center at 10900 Fondren Road and also available at  www.chabadtexas.org/76054 There are some VERY IMPORTANT NOTES & DATES to keep on your schedule. Unique for this year is the once in 28 year Blessing of the Sun to be held at 8:30 am at the JCC on Wed., April 8 (Facebook Event here):
