After five weeks of Torah readings about the construction of the Tabernacle, we finally reach the culminating event – the actual assembly of the many components into a fully erect structure.
Although most of the work involved with building the Tabernacle was done by many different people, when it came to actually putting it all together, it had to be done by Moshe Rabbeinu himself. Despite not being a builder by trade, Moshe was the only one who had the necessary spiritual insight to properly assemble the home for Hashem on Earth. As such, once the work of creating the various components was completed, the Jews brought everything to Hashem.
And because he was only one person, the actual assembly was nothing short of miraculous. Moshe stood by, and with the slightest touch of his hand, even the heaviest of panels and fixtures miraculously slid into place, together forming the complete structure.
The important message for us today is that while we all do our part to serve Hashem, each of us in our own unique way, we must also make a point to connect to the generation’s spiritual leader, the “Moshe Rabbeinu,” with whose help we can experience true miracles. Yes, everyone’s participation is vital, but without the collective reach of Moshe, everything remains independent pieces with no connection to the others. Once Moshe is involved, he not only brings everyone together as a united entity, he channels great miracles for us all to experience.
May we merit to experience the ultimate miracle, the coming of Moshiach and the building of the third and permanent Temple!
Good Shabbos!
