keeping up with demand of Am Yisrael Chai..

Friday, 3 November, 2023 - 1:30 pm

The resilience we've witnessed in the face of Hamas' brutality has ignited a profound source of inspiration within all of us. While we grapple with a myriad of emotions, the pain runs deep, and our brave soldiers gear up for the next stage of the battle, a remarkable spirit of unity and pride has surged throughout the global Jewish community.

Everyone is doing their part, including locally on the spiritual front! Young and the old have reached out, expressing an overwhelming desire to affix mezuzot to their doorposts, don tefillin, and kindle Shabbat candles. In fact, we've found it challenging to keep up with the demand!

This overwhelming response signifies an awakening to the timeless values that bind us as the Jewish people. It underscores that, in the face of adversity, we are not just resilient; we are strengthened and united. It demonstrates that the darkness of cruelty can never extinguish the light of our shared faith and heritage.

As we move forward, let this outpouring of devotion and commitment inspire us all to ask, "What is my personal contribution to help heal this broken world?" Together, as a united Jewish community, we have the power to bring about positive change and to make a lasting impact. With unwavering faith and heartfelt prayers for the safety of the Jewish people and the swift return of our loved ones, we will continue to march forward, inspired and undaunted.

Am Yisrael Chai & Shabbat shalom!

Rabbi Chaim & Chanie
