is it bashert?

WOW! We are so grateful to be part of this community, as we collectively were able to make our goal in the #bethematch campaign. Thank you to all those who were able to step up and most importantly thank you thank you thank you to the matchers challenging us all to be there for the community!

Last Shabbos we had a great surprise! J.H. (a local) and D. G. (from another state) showed up together Friday night for "First Fridays" and were very proud to share that they met through met@chabad speed-dating, and have been dating since June. The best part of it is - we did not even know! Are you or do you know someone looking for your bashert? On Nov 23, at 8 pm, we are taking it local with values based dating! Fill out a few simple questions and AI will match you up with up to 7 people that our social scientists have determined are key to a successful relationship! More at www.metatchabad.com/speeddating

Now that the clocks have changed, we will daven Mincha at candle lighting time, followed by studying Torah. Kabbalat Shabbat will be held at 6:30 pm throughout the winter, followed by Shabbat dinner. Join us!

We have a nice crew registered for the NYC Shabbaton in NY! Register using coupon code CYPENCOUNTER to save. If you want to join our flights let us know and we will give you the itinerary.

Of course, don't forget to register for all the great stuff coming up and Chanukah!

Chief Rabbi of.... Iran? Siberia?

There were many inspiring moments returning from this year's in-person conference of Chabad Rabbis. Hearing the perseverance of my yeshivah classmate Rabbi Shneur Keselman of Malmo, resisting the rising anti-Semitism while being dubbed the most persecuted Rabbi of Europe - yet with strength and pride the Jews of Malmo have risen to the occasion to not be ashamed and have  allowed their pride to shine even more. Having a chance to shake hands and meet with the Chief Rabbi of Iran, Rabbi Yehuda Gerami, is a story to be told all of it's own. However, you have got to watch this story of how the the thugs of Siberia convinced the rabbi Shneur Zalman Zaklos to join them in the city of Novosibirsk in Siberia - it really takes the cake!

On that note, it is not too late to join the current JLI course "Outsmarting Antisemitism" on Tuesday nights! Offered in person and online. More information and register here.

Upcoming Events:

We extend our condolences to Inessa Kislyuk and Vicki Harari on the passing of their father Grigory ben Avraham, a"h. Funeral will be held on Sunday.
