Senior accompanist for Houston Ballet Academy
Helena Barker graduated from the Conservatory of Music in Victoria BC with a degree in Piano Teacher's Pedagogy. She attained the highest mark in a Bach festival competition winning a scholarship to attend the Banff School of Fine Arts.
She relocated to Winnipeg and took a position with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet as Assistant Principal Pianist and Concert Pianist for the professional Division.
Helena has accompanied various Chazzans in celebratory and fundraising concerts, performing with the internationally known Chazzan, Sol Zim, Chazzan David Edwards as well as Chazzan Boaz Davidoff.
Prior to relocating to Houston October 2016, to be a senior accompanist with the Houston Ballet Academy, Helena was the concert pianist for the School of Alberta Ballet and pianist for the Alberta Ballet Company.
