The Chabad of Uptown
Unity Torah provides various opportunities for participation.
* All Dedications of $72 and higher include tickets to VIP reception prior to the Dedication Ceremony. $365 and higher include a greeting or advertisement in the program book.
* All Dedications of $1000 and higher provide you with the opportunity to inscribe one of the final letters with the scribe at the VIP reception prior to the Dedication Ceremony.
1Once the Unity Torah goal is met we will dedicate options towards the purchase our current loaner Torah.
The Jewish people are compared to the letters of the Torah. In our tradition, no letter is more important than another. As the letters of the Holy Torah are dependent upon one another for its completion, so is one Jew linked with all Jews in an indissoluble chain.
At this time, when the world is searching for the priceless blessing of peace, we, as Jews, must reassert our unity. We must reaffirm the dedication that has preserved us as a people through the ages.
Chabad of Uptown is proud to invite you to take part in the Unity Torah by purchasing letters, words, parshiyot and ornaments. This Torah will be the next link in a long chain reaching back to Sinai, and forward into the 21st century. Join us as we create and celebrate the Torah, and take part in the continuation of Jewish history!
