Celebrating recent birthdays and Save the date Dinner Feb 27

Dear Friends,

Last week's visit up to NJ / NY was very uplifting. We spent Shabbos in a hotel in NJ with Rabbi Chaim's grandmother and her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild (RC's great-niece). It was wonderful to sit and talk and catch up and see everyone for a weekend. DSCF1629.JPG

Chanie's 30th birthday was Sunday so it was a special treat to visit the Ohel on her birthday and see her parents in Brooklyn as well before we returned to Houston!

Mazel tov to Sarcalem and Belaynesh Zevadia Adigeh (Former Vice Consul General of Israel) upon the birth of TWIN BOYS! May they grow to give much nachas to their family and entire nation of Israel!

This week you should find the postcard for Chanukah with Chabad of Uptown in your mailboxes.

Watch me @ /live on Sunday

Dear Friends,

Greetings from the big apple! I am sitting with thousands of Chabad Rabbis from around the world, concluding the first day of workshops, inspiration and camaraderie. A complete weekend will follow concluding with a banquet with 4500 Shluchim, supporters and friends of Chabad. Read about the conference at www.chabaduptown.org/news. It is dubbed the largest sit down full course dinner in NYC! (I bumped into a NY Times correspondent that is covering a story on this herculean production). The banquet will be held this Sunday evening and broadcast live at www.chabaduptown.org/live.

Our Flower Menorah Chanukah program is going to be a budding display of nature! We will also have a Chanukah Shabbat and a special Chanukah Mommy & Me as well. See www.chabaduptown.org/events.

Save the date for Chabad of Uptown fifth anniversary evening of entertainment to be held on Sunday, February 27. It is going to a fun evening you do not want to miss!

Please join Chanie and the family and guest Rabbi Yehudah & Menuchah Cagen as they to lead another signature Uptown Shabbos with dinner and the best cholent this side of the Mississippi!
